Basilica at Neuschwanstein Castle, Germany
Back in 2001, my husband and I enjoyed a long, marvelous vacation in Germany and Austria, some of which I address in my original poem, "True Freedom" on this website. Although this photo is breathtaking, it can't even begin to capture what it's like to actually be in this Basilica inside magnificent Neuschwanstein Castle in Bavaria, Germany. This is a Baroque/Roccoco period architecture; note the natural pink marble and genuine gold decorum. The frescoes on the ceiling and throughout this masterpiece are ungodly in detail. Highly recommend this trip; an event of a lifetime!
