OUR CHRISTMASTIDE CELEBRATION APPRECIATION  ®
Original verse of gratitude and platitudes by Donna J. Fennel, CIW/SD.
Quilled during wintertide chill of 25th December, 2003 ~ Especially for thee.
My tribute to those fine folks to whom I was host at my 12-8-03 Christmas party.
Ah, luminous lights hither now quiver ‘pon mine berried boughs ~
Erstwhile array of antiquities adorn and swarm mine mirthful house.
Graced by mine garland and festoons, garnished from room to room ~
Offering scintillating scents intense, enough to make damsels swoon.
Frosted windows and walls doth shudder from a wanderlust wind ~
As gallery of gleeful guests enter our nurturing nest, best of bless’d kin.
Bestowing pride of Yuletide cards quilled with care to our lulling lair ~
For mine festive feast prepared will soon ‘mongst our loving lot be shared.
Pavé of portraiture and design embossed ‘pon Christmastide cards ere fine ~
Be tender tokens of foremost appreciation for thine carillon celebration.
Detailed Currier and Ives lithography ‘midst most meticulous typography ~
Mine parlor scrapbook these shall soon become, following frivolity and fun.
If it were not for our gracious guests, with whom our hearth now be bless’d ~
‘Pon this Nativity night of Star sight delight, alas, poor souls would lose faith
In ourselves, as their humble hosts, for naught having honored Holy Ghost ~
For He bestoweth our hovel with fine folks who, indeed, mean to us the most.
Ah, in all its spectrum of splendor, this be our Yuletide party pride to remember ~
Celebrating premiere December in Harmony dear, lending cadence to good cheer
As all remember day Steve and I married, too, erstwhile we view our tree of blue ~
And scintillating silver-strewn array, as we two pray we be happy here in life anew.
Erstwhile our amity of family serves wassail and goose, I speak now of noble truth ~
That our grateful guests in mine nest, with which our hearth is bless’d, have enjoyed
Fodder and feast ‘midst festivity we caringly employed, without want of a token ~
For, indeed, their very presence in mine hovel be as hallowed as God’s Word spoken.
Be this mine venerable verse of gratitude, tho enrobed with plethora of platitudes ~
Knoweth mine hope be that for you, we hath set merriest of mood ‘midst hearty food
And we honor thee, our most cherished company of amity, for you be our NEW family ~
Here in our humble hovel and Harmony retreat.  May your New Year be one of peace!
O, mine wish for you, true, is that the good will we bestow to thee, ye shall pass along ~
Throughout turbulent times to come, as brethren who be poorest ‘mongst paltry pawn.
Knoweth that one fine day, too, perhaps ye will feel as I do and rejoice in soulful song ~
For ‘tis then Jesus will have entered your heart ‘mongst men, forgiving all your wrongs.
May we all recall our travesty and time spent here, cradling cheer of this merry event ~
Recognizing our love for you, bless’d guest is Heaven-sent, for from our Lord it be lent.
Steve and I believe naught in frugality, when concerning man’s common duality ~
Between loving humanity as one spirit and family, including thee of humble Harmony.
Yes, Steve and I also believe ye of gracious guests, who enjoyed our celebratory reprieve
Will continue to do as we do the entire year through, spreading our hearts and good will
Towards mankind who is deserving of fellowship unity in our world community.
Whence we employ charity towards humanity of disparity, we shall see His Eternity.
Merry Christmas and a happy, peaceful New Year for those who are dear ~
In the Lord’s Light, Love and Eternal Life for Humanity ~
