Comes now merry Christmastide, approaches bless’d morn ~ Whereupon the Holy Son, revered as Heaven’s glorious King Of a poor, wedded maid, the Virgin Mother Mary, was born ~ Our greatest redemption from the Lord's realm above did bring.
‘Tis when the Angel Gabriel appeared and did herald brave ~ To the Virgin Mary, ‘pon whom God’s blessing was released. That she would bear a King of Kings, and us He would save ~ Alongside His heavenly Father, delivering Earth eternal peace.
O, that beautiful newborn form, whose Light is incomparable ~ Surrounding His hallowed halo, such beaming blaze of majesty!
Wherewith He would dwell ‘mongst Heaven’s highest Council ~ To take His place ‘pon Heaven’s throne as ruling bless’d Trinity.
He laid aside His pride for us and died, in Spirit with us to be ~ And sacrificed His life for humanity, to assure our everlasting day. Christmas was meant to be God’s gracious gift for you and me ~ And for this blessing, we should pay Him highest homage and pray.
Now as we head towards cozy habitats, offering celebration galore ~ Recall Christmas’ true meaning, as you enter your dear one’s door. And when the fun and laughter soften later, perk up your ears a tad ~ For in the background you will hear angel choirs; rejoice and be glad!
Enjoy their hymns of praise while celebrating, for hope has been heard ~ While your gaze gravitates towards Heaven, and God has kept His Word. Some might ask the Lord, “What kept You from coming to call ‘pon me ~ For I wanted so much Your Divine Intervention and glorious face to see?”
Always available for you; just call ‘pon God, and He will grant your wish ~ As your loving Father, delivering a sincere response to you similar to this: “O, bless’d child of mine, three times my shadow has crossed your floor ~ Three times I tried to enter your life, while I knocked on your lonely door.”
“You just might have been the beggar with bruised and frostbitten feet ~ Or the impoverished woman without a family, to whom I gave food to eat. You may have been a woeful wayfarer wandering aimlessly in the street. My child, I am always here to catch you when you fall and become weak.”
You may respond: “You wish for me to grow, as does in Spring a sapling tree ~ Bearing my burdened chains, not drag them low, along my way towards Thee. That I should rise after I tumble and fall, now fully prepared to wage Your war ~ Remaining right on course I shall conquer all, through devout prayer evermore.”
“O Heavenly Father, know that in my heart and soul each day in You I trust ~ Reveal and not conceal from you I must, offering worship and prayers to Thee. And as I surrender my entire life o’er to you Father, remembering what is just ~ That You shall dwell within as my Eternal Flame, and nevermore be lost to me.”
Now for all that You have done for me, God, I shall honor this Christmas Day ~ Spreading its meaning ‘mongst my brethren, while it offers hope for humankind. O, I pray that someday they find peace of mind through following Your way ~ For when they do, peace and love will shine throughout the tempest of time.
Know that there IS hope for those who believe that they have lost it all ~
For our Father does afford His Divine time to catch mankind when he falls.
Now during Christmastide harbor pride, generosity and love in your heart ~
Because when all else falls, He will prevail while blessing you with a new start.
