World peace greetings. This is Donna J. Fennel, founder, owner, and designer of this Donnadreamland humanitarian, world peace and visionary literature website.  Welcome to my lair of care, my harmonious haven and retreat where I put up my feet and quill thrill at wistful will until my soul's complete. I hope that your visit here will be a memorable treat.  (Hey, some of my works are neat.)  Indeed, my ocean of emotion and devotion is my soulful potion, of which there is sufficient quotient yet all that I share with the world is replete with my visionary, thought-provoking notions.
Who is Donna, this new cyber child?  Do we really know who we are? Of one thing I am certain:  I am a "renaissance" person, in more ways than one.  I am a true "Pilgrim woman" of noble German/Scottish/French/Danish ancestry, having hailed originally from the pristine Colonial commonwealth of Holliston, Massachusetts, ancestor to my father's father who owned a successful Boston shipping company and a creative, intelligent, proper Bostonian grandmother whose dialect and voice was identical to Rose Kennedy's.  My grandparents lived in the Back Bay community of Boston in a beautiful brownstone home.  My mother's parents and ancestors are of now removed Pennsylvania Dutch ancestry.  My father was a bridge engineer and an artist, and my mother operated a prosperous bakery business for several years, including founding her own successful knitting and cooking enterprises.
I must confide that I experience pure joy when I am sitting at my computer or by fireside, listening to relaxing music while allowing my verse of rescue upon a page to spill when the will to quill instills.  This is perhaps the principal reason why I have returned to this wonderful Earth, in this time, while realizing that this new writing purpose affords me more happiness and satisfaction than any material gift.  Money, awards, or acclaim could never parallel or surpass the inner exhilaration that I receive when spiritual verse of this kind envelopes my mind, while inner peace I find.  "The Ring has awoken; it's heard its master's call."
Please know that I do not use a "nom de plume" (a pen name) as an author:  My real name is Donna J. Fennel.  I suppose why leave my name a mystery?  However, my "alias" Avalon Mysts is a name that I adopted from the marvelous, mythical Arthurian land of Avalon for its mecca of mists and mystery.  Similarly, the Pleidian constellation once known as Avyon lent inspiration to my namesake.  I receive spiritual release and inner peace through my poetry, with the heartfelt hope of spreading my world peace verse of rescue to humanity.  You will either enjoy my poetry or you will not, even though it is spawned from my heart and mind.  You are a free spirit; you choose the path upon which to go.  Through my lair of care, though, perhaps from your visit here your soul may grow. Indeed, I hope that you may come to find, during your journey here into my soulful cyber world, that what I have expressed throughout my writings is much more than words on a Web page.  Some have come to call my poetic inspiration messages of rescue delivered through me to be those from my Higher Power and my Higher Self.  Well, they are.  What I strive for at Donnadreamland is progression through my perceptive presentation, not perfection, because none of us are immaculate including me.  We grow from what we know; my goal is for this website to become a retreat offering awareness alongside entertainment, gently infused into a memorable experience through which my verse of rescue could conceivably be spread.
I confess that I am not a "golden child" or a "chosen one", nor do I profess to be a literary prodigy.  I know not why I write the way I do; what I have come to terms with is that I have written this level of poetry nearly all of my life, and I have lived an average life possessing an above average consciousness that I was evidently born with (although it needs to be nutured towards full potential).  It was only when I began approaching the autumn of my life that I concurred it was time to share my verse of rescue amongst humanity; hence, the evolution of this humanitarian website and my related outreach.
All who know me (or of me) have wondered why I had postponed, until early midlife, the sharing of my peace-seeking poetic visions with the world via the Internet and my upcoming book publications.  Having revisited Plato’s phenomenal anthologies, Republic just a few months ago, these works of which I firmly believe contain the entire universe of Plato’s immortalized philosophy, I had arrived at the section where Plato argues that everyone is by nature suited to a particular activity, which ideally they would pursue.  I also recall reading where Aristotle proclaimed that "... nothing which exists by nature can be changed by habit."  It is when I arrived at the section where Plato explains why the arts are "sovereign", and how the arts shape this world's customs and laws and can completely alter society and humankind, I concurred from this that I had to share my entire life's poetic reflections with the world, whose insightful contents reveal past and futuristic visions I have experienced for nearly thirty years and still continue to do so.  I wished that I had been Plato's pupil, Aristotle after having read his compelling passage here. Imagine the breadth of worldly wisdom these two possessed in their time!  It is during this epiphany of mine when I surrendered my soul to nature, accepted my calling as a visionary poet, and made the decision to pursue going public with my works as well as becoming a peace-seeking pacifist and activist in world affairs and related humanitarian causes.  We owe this global peace-seeking mission and station to our children and humanity, including environmental, societal, cultural and animal kingdom preservation.
I must have been born with a book in my mouth; I have been told that I am somewhat of a prodigy as I possess a vast vocabulary (some of which is arcane), which I believe I carried over from a previous life (you never know). I have always been "classified" as a scholar and now, recently, a humanitarian, an entrepreneur and disciplinarian of thought. I have been writing from the heart and soul all of my life, as far back as I can remember. My mother claimed I picked up a pen at the age of three and began writing alphabet letters with glee, as well as vocabulary.  By age four, I longed to read more.  I possessed near-perfect penmanship at the age of five and skipped the first grade in stride, while allowing my pen to glide.  I have written short stories, poetry, and have recently been dabbling with screenplays and other literary allegory.
I possess the blessing and curse of being cross-brain dominant (I utilize the right and left brain hemispheres equally):  Thanks to my father's genes and DNA my sister, her gifted children and I inherited his high I.Q.  Up until recently, due to a recurring bout with destructive eating disorders, my I.Q. was detrimentally affected due to brain chemical deficiencies from years of pathetic, self-induced malnutrition (one of the most inhumane, rapacious, self-imposed acts).  However, now that I have received the professional help that I needed and am finally nutritionally sound, my level of intellect has returned to normal while, simultaneously, my once dormant thirst for knowledge has been revived. Being cross-brain dominant, I am equally analytical and creative; however, the downside to this is that if I am not using both brain hemispheres harmoniously, I get frustrated and bored. For instance, I listen to music all the time when I write code, in order to keep these hemispheres in sync.  (It works for me.)  I cannot watch TV for extended periods without getting fidgety or perform a single routine activity without tedium setting in, lending credence to why I constantly seek new adventures and challenges with vigor while I refrain from mundane rigor.  I am always entertained by the concept that perhaps my curious mind will unwind over time; therefore, I may as well enjoy keeping my brain well maintained while I still can.
Over the years, one of the epiphanies I have discovered is that with respect to writing good poetry, the key to doing well is how ingeniously you work your rhetorical spell, the success of which only time will tell.  The greater percentage of what I quill nowadays is autobiographical, now that I am older.  Every so often, I compose what I refer to as my little "ditties" while I am performing my daily routine, an example of which I offer you here that my mind authored recently:  "When all is still as twilight tempus settles in, I ease into the vibrato chorus of my inner selves echoing within while the planets spin. Amidst a moonlit evening’s joyful noise, the one true voice resonates above the rest while harmonic, meditative best it employs".  I also dream in rhyme during twilight time, accounting for my original "... where I weave my rhyme through time" statement that I have adopted for Donnadreamland.  I do not ignore this inner poetic voice that beckons me now and then; rather, this is typically the catalyst for how my poetry is born and its frequency of evolution which I heed, indeed, for one never knows where my verse of rescue will lead.
Other than writing, reading, music, art, serious studies of metaphysics, Reiki, scientology, theosophy, cosmological and astronomical science, my newest love is the realm of Web design, for which I recently attained my Certified Internet Webmaster designation and am currently finalizing the Web design technicalities of my upcoming Donnawebcraft.com website with might.  Now my original FLASH introductory presentation on this upcoming Web design site may ignite delight with might, depending upon your view this is true.  My streamlined presentation on this soon to premiere Donnawebcraft.com Web design site of mine is unique, innovative and pioneering, representing my professionalism, versatility and cyber artistry gently infused with my attention to detail and presentation, as I venture into the exciting and satisfying Web design dominion.
Most of my original works in Donnadreamland are autobiographical, unless noted otherwise.  Several are my personal, humble tribute to my friends and acquaintances endearing, whom I have come to admire over the tempest of time.  Yet you may find some of my verse to be philosophical in nature, depicting historic nomenclature, or "Poe-ish". Now, you just may wonder what gears I turn to instill these fears; because I have a hyperactive mind these gears always grind.  (A girlfriend in high school nicknamed me "Phenoma-Donna".  However, I suppose it is because I overuse the word "phenomenal"; it's one of my favorites.)  Yet know that I intend to be kind, while ideas I wind, bind and refine over time.  Charles Frankel once said, "Anxiety is the essential condition of intellectual and artistic creation".  It is this atypical cross-brain combination I possess that motivates me to simultaneously fulfill my poetry, world peace and Web design quests.  To quote Bono of the world renowned music group, U2, who follows his own independent world peace mission: "And I still haven't found what I'm looking for."
From the heart, I write such a diverse variety of poetry that I am confident I can tailor one to meet your special needs, for which I am currently producing a separately self-owned and operated, innovative poetry writing services link, Precious Poetry For Pence poetry writing services to be included in this website in the very near future, which is where you can order one of my original poems customized especially for you.  Look forward to this new link sometime during the latter part of of 2009.
My poetry writing services will be founded a separate enterprise from my poetry website, the terms, conditions, poetry writing service fees, and poem turn-around time of which I shall specifically outline in this upcoming Precious Poetry For Pence link.  I shall also include my original design of a comprehensive, simple, confidential online submission form containing the active link of a world-renowned secure, confidential payment processing center directing my respected Internet clients to pay for their custom poem order online or via money order remittance to my business mailing address, while they complete and return my online poetry writing services submission form to me via my Email address provided in my upcoming poetry writing services link, which will be activated here by winter of 2009 and available for you to explore.
Following my Email receipt of my poetry writing services client's completed online poetry writing services submission form, my client will immediately receive an autoresponder confirmation Email from me reiterating all of my poetry writing services terms, conditions and other pertinent criteria including the online delivery date and assigned identification number of each poem I shall write especially for them and/or their special person.  Remain confident knowing that my poetry writing service client's original, custom poem will NOT be published on this poetry website, E-zine website or my companion web design website, unless my client authorizes permission for me to post their custom poem on my poetry website, at which time I shall give absolute credit to that particular client with respect to their exclusive ownership of the custom poem I carefully authored for them.  However, I shall retain exclusive authorship rights and copyright in any and all of the poem authoring services that I provide for my online poetry writing services clients, as well as those archived on this visionary poetry website, while maintaining absolute confidentiality of all services that I provide for my client.  Wish me well in this enterprise.
I wish to share with you some worldly wise advice that I received from a multi-millionaire: "Success is nothing more than a few simple disciplines practiced every day, whereas failure is simply a few errors in judgment repeated every day.  It is the accumulative weight of our disciplines and our judgments that leads us to either fortune or failure."
I believe that there is bounty here, in my cyber realm, to enthrall as well as appall.  However, there awaits variety and interest for all (Hey, I wanted this profile to be small ... ho, ho).  My heartfelt, absolute mission and sincere intent, friends, is that my evolving Donnadreamland educates and entertains, while clearly exemplifying how I can comfortably interchange technology and creativity in one busy brain.  Look forward to an enlightening change, for nothing here will remain the same.  Indeed, this site and other similar humanitarian sites must evolve as world peace missions progress, in order for our wayward, awakening world to become tame.  Through the inception of this evolutionary Donnadreamland website, my futurist visions and my poetry, I seek to touch one and all within this precious biosphere.  Perhaps through my heartfelt verse of rescue and world peace activities, you might one day remember that an instrument of peace was here, offering my prayers with the hope that one day we will witness a peaceful world and cosmic coexistence of synchronicity and complicity in a universal lair of care where we can, in a realistic sense, all be happy, healthy and harmonious in a sustained environment in the cosmos, as we were meant to be.
With that, I shall tip my hat and hope your visit here today is enjoyable, inspirational, entertaining, and emotion-evoking.  I pray that you heed and comprehend my world peace message, and believe that I represent many in this humanitarian cause.  Although learning how to tap into and harness the valuable resources available to man in the Universal Life Force will invariably require considerable study and discipline, I am convinced that this is the key to world peace because I believe that in the realm of this Universal Life Force exists the sacred secret to global harmony, with respect to learning how to properly and profoundly attain ascended levels of transcendental consciousness on a cooperative worldwide level.  This is my personal opinion that I do not wish to impose upon you; however, it operates as forerunner to the evolution of this new Donnadreamland humanitarian website, as well as the impetus for my continuing to routinely author visionary poetry and essays.  I am also in the process of writing a non-fiction book about the beautiful region where I live.
UPDATE 7-3-05:  I am enrolled in an accredited Reiki training course activity facilitated by a certified Reiki Master, through which I shall acquire the skills necessary for me to disciplinarily attain higher levels of consciousness, while I delve deeper into and further educate myself in the Universal Life Force conceptualization.  Following successful completion and application of this Reiki training, I shall attain my First and Second degree Reiki certification towards becoming a healer.  On a personal level, I believe that Reiki training is for my own betterment, in order for me to help humanity on an ascended level. Indeed, I am willing to take this leap of faith in order to know all of myself so that I can better serve humankind, even if it means being able to competently and humanely utilize the valuable resources available in the Universal Life Force for which I require formalized training.  Wish me well in this endeavor for I know that it is my time, in this time, to do something more to aid you while becoming the best that I can be aptitudinally, spiritually and physically.
Know that I am a humanitarian, philanthropist and promulgator of world peace, which also encompasses some of my poetic themes.  Will wonders ever cease? I am also a member of world renowned NetAid, an organization committed to eradicate global poverty (including the United States), whom I intend on devoutly serving as an online volunteer designing websites and multi media.  However, they offer several other online volunteer options, too.  Their mission is true, and I am humbled and honored to be a member of their wonderful humanitarian organization.
My most esteemed effort, to date, is my poetry and essays book to be published in late 2009, Borne from the Sands of Time, all proceeds and royalties of which I shall donate to legitimate humanitarian causes.  My writings are God's gift to me; what I do with the reward reaped from my poetry book, including my similar humanitarian and environmental preservation efforts, is my gift to God, whom I also refer to as the Higher Power throughout this website.  "What we do in life echoes in eternity."
Due to my recent relocation to the resplendent Harmony Center intentional community and completion of our new geodesic dome home, I have put all of these projects on hold.   I am really in cyberland, now. "There's no place like home."
My mission is to forge ahead with my humanitarian and environmental affairs, my upcoming Web design website and my poetry book. To borrow a quote from the immortalized Will Rogers: "Even if you're on the right track, you'll get run over if you just sit there." Be that as it may, hopefully this motive will foster a cyber locomotive here, with your feedback as precious fuel to keep this depot a station of inspiration and hope.  I wish that you leave this caring cyber train spiritually sustained, free of emotional pain.  I now cordially invite you to climb aboard my Donnadreamland "peace train".
Welcome to my lair of care.  I cordially invite you to sign Mine Book of Guests. Now is the time that I extend my hand and heart to you as my invitation to take a look ...
May you be blessed with everything that is best including world peace, my friends.  Thank you for visiting.  Keep the faith while you pass it on.
Blessed in His Service,
Donna J. Fennel, Donnadreamland Administrator

"I pray that one day there will be unification of all nations, before impending devastation and to protect our future generations.  To our Higher Power we should demonstrate veneration and adulation, in order for our woeful world to receive salvation and elation.  For it is through our own creation, promulgation, dedication, and education that we will rise above as one unified congregation.  Alas, our planet will come to know that, in doing so, before our final setting sun mankind will have won."

"Mine days that were manifested in dreams ago ~
Reveal litany of lives labyrinth that I humbly know.
I bid adieu, in search of one splendorous and new ~
Abandoning bygone burdens mine soul verily towed.
Alas, I shalt now grasp mine hallowed hourglass ~
To witness golden grains of life predictably pass.
For all that is and was of mine life venerably vast ~
Is merely hours cast inside this gilded ghost of glass."

For this hour you have honored me with, a gift is reserved for you.
I bestow blessings to you, precious guest, for none deserve it more ~
For all who entered here pure and true, God has everything in store."

“I have undertaken a labor, a labor out of love for the world, and to comfort noble hearts:  Those whom I hold dear, and the world to which my heart goes out.  Not the common world do I mean, of those who (as I have heard) cannot bear grief and desire but to bathe in bliss.  (May God then let them dwell in bliss!) Their world and manner of life my tale does not regard:  Its life and mine lie apart.  Another world do I hold in mind, which bears together in one heart its bittersweetness and its dear grief, its heart's delight and its pain of longing, dear life and sorrowful death, dear death and sorrowful life.  In this world let me have my world, to be damned with it or to be saved.” -- Gottfried Von Strassburg
"I am but a voyager over vortices of space and time ~
Harbored in body hosts and ghosts unfamiliar to mine.
I hath lived on distant worlds encircling myriad of suns ~
Now I reside on Earth, where mine new life hath begun."

Donnadreamland Mission Statement:
"To provide commitment to excellence and the highest caliber of professional presentation and service to every visitor and client using experienced judgment, creativity and responsiveness."
Below is my latest poem in progress to share.  Enjoy:
"We owe creativity to an ocean of dreams that bind
The human mind, defying the ebb and flow of time.
Vaporous, vivified visions of vacillating enormity;
A perplexing nonconformity unveiling deformities.
A mortal mind is inclined to float aimless and adrift
In mellifluous melodramas, forging barriers and rifts.
Harboring definitions whose certain cryptic conditions
Forebode, as each message we decode with admonition.
Windswept wishes from a wellspring of mulled memories
Reclaimed as reveries we carry with us through our days.
They fade and pall, when age attacks our conscious wall;
Unaware that our thoughts are now ensnared into a haze.
Creativity fresh enmeshed with images of an aging mind
That resurface, with purpose, in dreamscapes over time.
What the mind can no longer comprehend while awake
Our dreams will forsake and translate, make no mistake.
When age upon us has crept, a promise should be kept
That no matter how prone we are to fumble and forget
Someway or another, as we approach the ledge of death
The deep of sleep comforts us that lucidity will be met.
Slumber hours make it clearer that to God we are nearer;
Once time steals with age, then He gently turns the page.
For the elder entering the sleep realm, He steers the helm.
As simple as it seems, we are guided through our dreams.
When we sleep, angels carry us towards His loftiness of lair
For this is the divine time with us He wishes MOST to spare.
Compared to an essence rare, while clear answers are unfurled
The dream quest lets us share love and lessons with our world.
Inclinations manifest as incarnations from the serenity of sleep
Certain conditions lend intuition to help answer questions deep
Contained in the astral plane one tends to enter, time and again
Dreams share duality with reality, veiled in a realm of pretend."
