Sense the mistress moon's opalescence and alluring presence. Donna J. Fennel
MOONBEAMS AND MOONDREAMS® Original, dream-woven poetry by Donna J. Fennel.
Quilled on this 22th day of February, 2003 just for thee.
Revised by dawn's early light just for you on May 12, 2006.
Peering from my telescope one calm, cloudless night ~
I witnessed a most profound and glorious sight.
As the moon during cloud-cast indigo twilight ~
Bade me her tender greetings ere opalescent bright.
Ah, this luminous Luna was but a chin of gold ~
A fortnight or two ago, whose phases are foretold.
Now, like a sentinel, she turns her glowing face ~
'Pon a sleeping race whose pace lay placid below.
I note that her forehead is of pale palamino blonde ~
While her cheeks are as chiseled as Rodin's stone.
As her amber eyes peer ever so somberly beyond ~
The likes that I have known from her stardust throne.
Her sensuous lips arouse, yet do not quite part ~
While she reveals and never conceals her coy smile.
'Pon her most arduous lover o, she could bestow ~
Were such her seductive and seditious, sultry style.
Her brilliant bonnet beams and brims as firmament ~
For the ubiquitous universe becomes her stiletto shoe.
While stars appear as mere trinkets near Orion’s Belt ~
Protectors of her sector, her mercenaries of indigo blue.
Before mine eyes, such surprise, what a privilege to be ~
'Midst her constellation sea, the remotest lovely lady!
For her breast is where men quest to visit her galaxies ~
Whom she perplexes and vexes, while casting her hexes.
Cometh soon the day when we may pass o’er her helm ~
To unravel history’s mysteries, as we travel her realm.
Whence I gaze at Luna, her face reveals one like my own
As I view her planes I see her beauty, like mine wanes.
And while her visage withers, her sterling-drenched rays ~
Reveal her aging days, much like my own emerging grays.
For one of these nights, her golden glow may well diminish
Her life, much like my own similarly sardonic, shall finish.
Moonrise, seducing tides and lovers tossing sterling streaks ~
Allure and endure o’er the valleys, hills and mountain peaks.
Oh, what is man’s true purpose here, his ultimate destiny?
It all comes down to that which our mind portends and sees.
La Luna I appreciate, yet my moongaze made me contemplate ~
'Pon all that is bright and beautiful our race should appreciate.
Unbeknownst is our fate, live life as though it be gone by morrow
O so brief, life pillages our souls like a thief, supervening sorrow.
Worship mountain silhouettes, as skies abound cerulean blue ~
Their snowy peaks mesmerize the meek, offering cloudy veils white.
While winds whisper wanderlust, and a sensational sun ere true ~
Majestically mimics Earth’s might; God creates the ultimate view.
O beautiful moonlight of goodness fair, ancient lore we both do share.
Mine love for mankind, day and night, in thought and in sight thrives ~
Be it so throughout my incarnations, I have found my emancipation ~
Of now being set free of history, my final mission be that man survives.
I confide to ebbs and tides this was the lifetime I shall cherish always ~
And to you, sweet Luna, while you seduce before your sister’s sun’s rays
Awaken soon, dearest moon, for this life yielded my spiritual answers ~
Because people cared much, enhanced by the magic of your generous touch.
There exists no illusion too great, neither hill nor road too steep or long ~
For me to have masterfully etched my own fate, beyond all right and wrong.
During this incarnation. Yet you, so true, were omnipresent and ever along ~
This life a crescendo to my journey’s song, I shall be with you in the beyond.
For I now sense the anticipated approach of our distant, Divine Messiah ~
Intent on arriving from a realm like yours, only His plane is moreso higher.
Who offers us living breath replete with hope, love, peace and joyous tidings ~
Of times for no more crying this He shall bestow, much so like your own glow.
And when His white light, similar to yours, moves towards man’s direction ~
We will witness that far greater than this bliss, and all pause for reflection.
Amidst Armageddon’s pyres and molten ash fires we, like you shall retire ~
As we merge with your regal realm heavenward, to view His eyes like sapphires.
Tomorrow is but a question, while the past is a twinkle in time of yesterday ~
Where I am destined to go soon, the dimension recognizes not night from day.
As eons pass you, too, will view your last, as you watch the sun fade away ~
Grieve not our mortal decay, for man's profound transition will be underway.
Ah, mistress moon now bids me her adieu, as sunrise will soon start anew.
And from my telescope I sneak another glance, as if to witness per chance ~
Her voluptuous breast; as it heaves and sighs, I languish so for slumber.
My quest to regress to childhood dream satisfied, as rest beckons me under.
Peace, love and enlightenment true ~ this and more I wish for you.
I spawn from my heart this poetry I impart, before I leave cyberland.
For time escapes us like grains of sand, and the hour draws ever near ~
When I leave, yet do not grieve, for with you my heart is always here.
May we live to see day when moonbeams and moondreams come our way.
My wish is for this poem to promulgate world peace and love among us now.
Extend your hand, as it is received as token by one who offers love and devotion.
Know that your present life is one of many, for a circle has no end, dear friends.
