Harbored in the heart of the Ozark mountains
Awaits a Brigadoon of paradise lost to the gods ~
A tranquil terrain of glacial crystalline fountains ~
Where nature's bounty is bestowed by God in sod.
Nestled 'mongst nurturing nests of forest forever ~
Wherein a wondrous wilderness now welcomes us.
Blessed with angel kisses of spring tide splendor ~
And a sumptous sky replete with Celestine stardust.
Comes hour when we sojourn towards new home ~
Perched upon a knoll, 'neath the towering peaks.
Exists there the sanctuary where my heart goes ~
When it is God’s grace and harmony that it seeks.
In the Ozark mountains, a new lifestyle awaits us ~
Where I chose to gleefully and freely write prose.
And time’s merciless cast has not tainted its past ~
Where waterfalls whisper in God’s grandiose show.
Now a person has been known to miss out on a lot
Until he finds his own little, fertile God-blessed plot ~
Which, for several years, one may have ruefully sought.
Until he receives his true calling, when overwrought.
Well a man just might sprint in the wrong direction ~
Before he eventually discovers his God-chosen home.
He may stumble through life with wrong intentions ~
Until the Lord places him where he needs to go.
Great city, your memories will die ever so slow ~
While country, you are faintly calling us to go.
Traffic and noise, we don't need you anymore ~
For now we have a wondrous world to explore.
Where cerulean sky meets acres of virgin land ~
And a man’s day-to-day routine is never planned.
The folks there laugh, just 'cause they’re living ~
For with joy they employ the true spirit of giving.
From chaos and pollution, we are now running free ~
Towards a heavenly haven of peace called Harmony.
To drink from glacial waters till spiritually sustained ~
Purveyed by pure rains over our valleys and plains.
O, such innocence and grace found in this placid place!
Where pets can play with fawns and calves in our meadow.
Offering a balcony view hosting a vista surpassed by none ~
The Lord’s tapestry woven under our mountains' rising sun.
As we know, some of Earth’s domains are not joyful places ~
Exist dominions, where tormented souls amongst men trod.
Yet, while in Harmony, I saw His presence in so many faces ~
In whom shone the Holy Light of God on this humble sod.
Three weeks henceforth, Steve and I will be heading North ~
Towards our Harmony homeland, with help of Jesus' hand.
Cradled in a cavalcade of hills, awaits our new dome home ~
Where the breath of God whispers we were destined to roam.
Legend proclaims that once you come to a fork in the road ~
Blindsightedly choosing the left path, instead of the right.
You may wander for a lifetime, longing to find your way back ~
Discovering, in vain, you just may have lost track of the sight.
The heaven of Harmony beckons us during dawn's wake ~
O, such a breathtaking scene does our Savior’s artistry make!
As Steve and I embrace this vibrant view of kaleidoscopic hue ~
We realize in our hearts Harmony harbors heaven for we two.
Alas, not many times is a man blessed with an opportunity ~
To relocate to a haven a beautiful as the Lord’s big country.
Away from life as we know it here; this is our swan song ~
For the Lord knows that Harmony is where we two belong.
May our new Harmony relocation be our journey’s end ~
while we wish you everything best and best, my friend .
