OUR THANKSGIVING CELEBRATION INVITATION®
Original, holiday poetic invitation to those whom we show our admiration.
By Donna J. Fennel on this 2nd day of November, 2004 ~ Especially for thee.
Alas, a yawning year yearns to turn its full circle ~
As swiftness of seasons nonchalantly come and go.
Harvest harboring hoards are reaped and sowed ~
While wind whispers hello, barely daring to blow.
Orchards and granaries grant us tempting treasure ~
Splendid saffron fields sanction marvelous measure.
As autumnal annunciation transcends towards end ~
'Midst most cherished company of family and friends.
While you are bountifully bless'd, always remember ~
Our friendship shant falter, akin to extinguished ember.
Tho season has gifted with sheaves and luscious leaves ~
Know Steve and I are thankful for this hour to honor thee.
In our modest lair of care, ‘mongst all we share and spare ~
Our generosity and grace in humblest place, but just in case
You leave this land so grand, you will remain in our prayers ~
And cares. God bless this holiday we, as company, will share.
And our door and heart are always open for you, this is true ~
As both harbor an honored haven of hope, especially for you.
And tho we have known one another merely a month or more ~
I am sure our friendship shall endure whatever will be in store.
While we gather ‘round to partake in festivities and merriment ~
Realize our time with you fine folks this season was SO well spent.
As we pause to reflect ‘pon yesteryears, and wipe away our tears ~
We will share a chalice of good cheer, near our comrades ere dear.
Come hither, our home will abound with merry sound and libation ~
While we, as company, share sumptuous feast and our appreciation.
Being bless’d, once again, to find friends of whom we are so fond ~
As we welcome them to our table, sharing this holiday and beyond.
For our premiere Thanksgiving here, in harbored haven of Harmony ~
We extend our invitation of appreciation, join us in pomp and pageantry!
At this modest table, if you are able, as our group giving grace to God ~
'Pon this humble sod in assembly, to exemplify we are thankful for thee.
Please honor us with your presence on Thanksgiving up and coming ~
To enjoy laughter, songs and humming, in our dome we dub as home.
As we know, it is pathetic to spend this holiday and Christmas alone ~
About you we care, and wish to share all we can spare in our loving lair.
HAPPY THANKSGIVING!  PEACE ON EARTH
