NEW

Below is my latest poem in progress I wish to share with you.  Enjoy:

"We owe creativity to an ocean of dreams that bind
The human mind, defying the ebb and flow of time.
Vaporous, vivified visions of vacillating enormity;
A perplexing nonconformity unveiling deformities.
A mortal mind is inclined to float aimless and adrift
In mellifluous melodramas, forging barriers and rifts.
Harboring definitions whose certain cryptic conditions
Forebode, as each message we decode with admonition.

Windswept wishes from a wellspring of mulled memories
Reclaimed as reveries we carry with us through our days.
They fade and pall, when age attacks our conscious wall;
Unaware that our thoughts are now ensnared into a haze.
Creativity fresh enmeshed with images of an aging mind
That resurface, with purpose, in dreamscapes over time.
What the mind can no longer comprehend while awake
Our dreams will forsake and translate, make no mistake.

When age upon us has crept, a promise should be kept
That no matter how prone we are to fumble and forget
Someway or another, as we approach the ledge of death
The deep of sleep comforts us that lucidity will be met.
Slumber hours make it clearer that to God we are nearer;
Once time steals with age, then He gently turns the page.
For the elder entering the sleep realm, He steers the helm.
As simple as it seems, we are guided through our dreams.

When we sleep, angels carry us towards His loftiness of lair
For this is the divine time with us He wishes MOST to spare.
Compared to an essence rare, while clear answers are unfurled
The dream quest lets us share love and lessons with our world.
Inclinations manifest as incarnations from the serenity of sleep
Certain conditions lend intuition to help answer questions deep
Contained in the astral plane one tends to enter, time and again
Dreams share duality with reality, veiled in a realm of pretend."

'Snow-spun winter solstice drifts persuade us to reminisce' by Donna J. Fennel.

"The butterfly is my emissary.  They are so very fragile, like life.  When I see one,
I am reminded of the shortness of life and how important it is to live wisely."
